NAME
eol - Simple script to convert newline endings; uses the EOL.pm module.
VERSION
This document describes EOL version 0.0.2
SYNOPSIS
eol --in <file> --eol [CRLF; LF; CR]
DESCRIPTION
This application provides newline conversions to a file in-place. It clobbers the file that you send as input. A backup of the original file will be made one time only (i.e., multiple runnings on the same file would try and overwrite the .bak file).
INTERFACE
The following command line options are supported:
--in <file>
--in Name of the file to convert.
--eol [CRLF; LF; CR]
--eol End-of-line tag to convert to. For example, if you wanted MS-DOS style newlines, you would send "--eol CRLF".
--noback
--noback A switch that tells the script to *not* make a backup of the original file. The file will be converted in-place without a backup. USE AT OWN RISK!
CONFIGURATION AND ENVIRONMENT
The eol script should have been copied to /usr/local/bin when EOL.pm was installed. Windows users will have to manually move the eol script to somewhere in their execution PATH.
CONFIGURATION AND ENVIRONMENT
EOL requires no configuration files or environment variables.
DEPENDENCIES
This module calls a few others: strict; warnings; Getopt::Long; EOL.
INCOMPATIBILITIES
None reported.
BUGS AND LIMITATIONS
No bugs have been reported.
