NAME

access2csv - Export the tables of a Microsoft Access database to CSV files

SYNOPSIS

access2csv [options] database.accdb
access2csv [options] -          # read the database from standard input

Run access2csv --help for the options, or access2csv --man (or perldoc App::Access2CSV) for the full manual.

DESCRIPTION

Writes one CSV file for each table of a Microsoft Access database (.mdb or .accdb), using the mdbtools programs. Access's own system tables are skipped; file names are made safe; each file is written completely or not at all.

Common options: --output-dir DIR, --table NAME (repeatable), --overwrite, --dry-run, --show-counts, --encoding utf8|utf8-bom|cp1252, --log FILE / --no-log, --version. See "OPTIONS" in App::Access2CSV for all of them.

EXIT STATUS

0  every selected table was exported (also --dry-run, --help, --version)
1  at least one table could not be exported
2  the command line was wrong
3  a fatal error stopped the run

REQUIREMENTS

The mdbtools programs (mdb-tables, mdb-export, and mdb-count for --show-counts) must be installed and in your PATH, for example with sudo apt install mdbtools or brew install mdbtools. See "REQUIREMENTS" in App::Access2CSV.
