NAME

chess - chess on a terminal, against a bot

SYNOPSIS

chess # play the bot from the opening
chess --level 0 --ascii # the weakest rung, the FEN letters
chess --seat p2 # play Black
chess --fen 'FEN' --no-pick # a position, typed moves

DESCRIPTION

A front end and nothing else: every decision it makes is an option, and the board, the picker and the typed prompt live in Term::Chess. The rules are Chess::Plisco's and the opponent is Plisco's own search, bounded in nodes.

--level takes either a rung index into @Term::Chess::Bot::LADDER or a node budget outright, and tells them apart by size. Left out, the game's seed draws a rung.

EXIT STATUS

0 if you won, the game drew, or you quit; 1 if you lost; 2 for a bad option or a refused value.
