NAME
smakewhatis - generate a manual database for sman
SYNOPSIS
smakewhatis [-database database name] [-dir database directory] [-table name] [-remove] [mandir ...]
DESCRIPTION
Smakewhatis generates/updates databases for sman(1). If mandirs are specified, these are used. Otherwise the confiigured default directories are indexed.
OPTIONS
- -database database name

Change the default database name to database name.
- -dir database directory
-
Change the default database directory to database directory.
- -table name
-
Use name instead of
manas table name. - -clean
-
Clean database before indexing.
- -remove
-
Remove the selected directories from the database instead of adding/updating. This works only for the manuals which are unchanged since the indexing.
