SYNOPSIS

# Let SNMP::Info determine the correct subclass for you.
my $qnap = new SNMP::Info(
                        AutoSpecify => 1,
                        Debug       => 1,

                        Community   => 'public',
                        Version     => 2
                      )

DESCRIPTION

Subclass for QNAP NAS devices running QTS or QuTS hero. Devices using both the legacy QNAP enterprise number 24681 and the current enterprise number 55062 are detected automatically from sysObjectID. Current QTS and QuTS hero inventory is read from the 55062.1 and 55062.2 subtrees, respectively.

Inherited Classes

SNMP::Info::Layer7
SNMP::Info::Entity

Inherited MIBs

QNAP inventory values are queried using numeric OIDs, so neither NAS-MIB nor QTS-MIB needs to be installed.

See "Required MIBs" in SNMP::Info::Layer7 and SNMP::Info::Entity for inherited requirements.

GLOBALS

$qnap->vendor()

Returns 'qnap'.

$qnap->name()

Returns hostname.0 from the QTS or QuTS hero subtree of QTS-MIB, falling back to the standard SNMP sysName.0 value.

$qnap->model()

Returns systemModel.0 from the QTS or QuTS hero subtree of QTS-MIB, falling back to modelName.0 from NAS-MIB on legacy devices.

$qnap->serial()

Returns serialNumber.0 from the QTS or QuTS hero subtree of QTS-MIB. Legacy devices fall back to the serial number derived from ENTITY-MIB.

$qnap->os()

Returns the lowercase operating-system family identifier 'qts' or 'quts hero'. The explicit QTS-MIB subtree takes precedence. For legacy or generic QNAP sysObjectID values, a firmware version beginning with h identifies QuTS hero; all other QNAP devices fall back to QTS.

$qnap->os_ver()

Returns firmwareVersion.0 from the QTS or QuTS hero subtree of QTS-MIB. Legacy devices fall back to a firmware version in QNAP's sysDescr format and then to ENTITY-MIB. The QuTS hero h prefix is preserved so the full vendor version, for example h5.2.10.3577, remains available for security advisory and vulnerability matching.

$qnap->e_swver()

Returns ENTITY-MIB software revisions for component inventory. For a chassis entry, a complete QTS-MIB or QNAP sysDescr firmware version takes precedence over a shortened entPhysicalSoftwareRev value. This keeps the module inventory consistent with os_ver() without changing Netdisco report code.
