Smolder versions through 1.51 for Perl uses insecure rand() function for cryptographic functions. Smolder 1.51 and earlier for Perl uses the rand() function as the default source of entropy, which is not cryptographically secure, for cryptographic functions. Specifically Smolder::DB::Developer uses the Data::Random library which specifically states that it is "Useful mostly for test programs". Data::Random uses the rand() function.

SYNOPSIS

smolder --conf /path/to/smolder.conf

smolder --daemon 

DESCRIPTION

Run the Smolder server.

OPTIONS

--daemon (-d)

Run the server in the background as a daemon process.

--conf (-c)

Specify a smolder.conf config file.

--port (-p)

Specify the port from which Smolder will server requests. Defaults to 8080

--host (-h)

The hostname that Smolder will use when running. Defaults to localhost@localdomain

--data_dir

The data directory that Smolder will use. Defaults to $HOME/.smolder (or equivalent)

--share_dir

The shared directory that Smolder will use for read-only things like templates, css, images and sql files

--log_file

The log file used by Smolder.

--help
