Version 1.03
------------

  * New module: PostScript::BasicTypesetter.
    This module provides the necessary tools to do basic
    typesetting.

  * New example/btexample.pl; shows how to use BasicTypesetter.
    (Additional: times.upr, time0000.afm and time0003.afm.)

  * Split off the encodings in two separate modules:
    PostScript::ISOLatin1Encoding and PostScript::StandardEncoding.
    This eliminates the need for FontMetrics related programs to
    require Font.pm, just for the encodings.

Version 1.02
------------

  * PostScript::Font: Add FontBBox method.

Version 1.01
------------

  * PostScript::Font: TrueType fonts are handled by means of
    converting to Type42 using the 'ttftot42' tool.

    This program will be used automatically if it can be located on
    the PATH. Alternatively, you can set the variable
    $PostScript::Font::ttftot42 to the name of the ttftot42 command on
    your system.

    See: http://ftp.giga.or.at/pub/nih/ttftot42 for details.

  * fontsampler: Correct clipping for page 2 and higher.

  * All modules: add value 'ignore' for error option.

  * PostScript::FontMetrics: Handle True Type fonts by extracting the
    metrics using the 'ttftot42' tool. See above.

  * PostScript::FontMetrics: Use encoding info.
    New 'kstring' method returns a vector of strings and
    displacements, suitable for typesetting a text with kerning and a
    given additional stretch.

  * PostScript::Resources: New module, parses a Unix PostScript
    Resource (UPR) file.

    See the specification of the Adobe Display PostScript Toolkit for
    X, URL: http://www.adobe.com/supportservice/devrelations/PDFS/TN/DPS.refmanuals.TK.pdf

    The format of the font resources file is described in appendix A
    of this document.

  * example: Added an example program to illustrate how these modules
    can be used for basis PostScript typesetting.
