* First release of LinkedList::Single::Examples, split from the
  LinkedList::Single distribution: worked examples of linked lists
  with documentation, benchmarks and tests.

* Six examples, each with the LinkedList::Single v2 solution and an
  array or hash version of the same problem, compared on time, memory
  and code size: LRU cache, sliding window, lock handoff, sorted merge,
  ordered index and timer queue. Modules are
  LinkedList::Single::Example::<Name>; the write-up of each is in
  LinkedList::Single::Example::<Name>::POD.

* Layout: lib/ (modules), app/NN-Name (programs), benchmarks/NN-Name,
  t/NN-Name (tests). Programs and benchmarks are in the distribution as
  source and are not installed. Timings in the documentation come from
  one machine and are labelled as such.

* The examples use the detach() and relinking append_to() of
  LinkedList::Single, which are in its CHANGES file under 31 October 2026
  and are not in earlier releases. They are in LinkedList::Single
  v2.1.0, which is the prerequisite version.
