NAME
pp-yaml - Pretty-print (and colorize) YAML
VERSION
This document describes version 0.165 of pp-yaml (from Perl distribution App-SerializeUtils), released on 2022-03-20.
DESCRIPTION
By default, when in interactive mode will pretty-print and colorize YAML using YAML::Tiny::Color, and when piped will pretty-print YAML using YAML::XS.
OPTIONS
--color, --no-color
Force using color (YAML::Tiny::Color) or no color. The default is to check whether STDOUT is not piped (interactive mode) to enable color.
--pp
Force using a PP (pure-Perl) module (currently YAML::Old) instead of the default YAML::XS.
--xs
Force using an XS module (currently YAML::XS).
ENVIRONMENT
COLOR
Boolean. Set default for color.

Most of the time, you don't need to build the distribution yourself. You can simply modify the code, then test via:
% prove -l
If you want to build the distribution (e.g. to try to install it locally on your system), you can install Dist::Zilla, Dist::Zilla::PluginBundle::Author::PERLANCAR, and sometimes one or two other Dist::Zilla plugin and/or Pod::Weaver::Plugin. Any additional steps required beyond that are considered a bug and can be reported to me.
