now that we openlog just in time when logging, do not openlog eagerly at construction

log events to syslog with Unix::Syslog

To install Log::Dispatch::UnixSyslog, copy and paste the appropriate command in to your terminal.

cpanm Log::Dispatch::UnixSyslog

perl -MCPAN -e shell
install Log::Dispatch::UnixSyslog
