VERSION
version 0.003
SYNOPSIS
use Authen::SASL qw(Perl);
$sasl = Authen::SASL->new(
mechanism => 'NTLM',
callback => {
user => $username, # or "$domain\\$username"
pass => $password,
},
);
$client = $sasl->client_new(...);
$client->client_start;
$client->client_step('');
$client->client_step($challenge);
DESCRIPTION
This module is a plugin for the Authen::SASL framework that implements the client procedures to do NTLM authentication.
Most users will probably only need this module indirectly, when you use another module that depends on Authen::SASL with NTLM authentication. E.g. connecting to an MS Exchange Server using Email::Sender, which depends on Net::SMTP(S) which in turn depends on Authen::SASL.
You may see this when you get the following error message:
No SASL mechanism found
(Unfortunately, Authen::SASL currently doesn't tell you which SASL mechanism is missing.)
CALLBACK
The callbacks used are:
Client
- user
-
The username to be used for authentication. The domain may optionally be specified as part of the
user
string in the format"$domain\\$username"
. - pass
-
The user's password to be used for authentication.
Server
This module does not support server-side authentication.
