NAME

Getopt::Pad::Type::Url - The url option type

SYNOPSIS

options => {
    endpoint => { type => 'url', default => 'https://api.example.com/' },
},

DESCRIPTION

The type of options and args declared with type => 'url' or 'uri'. It accepts values of the form scheme://rest: a scheme that starts with a letter and continues with letters, digits, +, . or -, then ://, then at least one character. The value must not contain whitespace. https://example.com/x, ssh://git@example.com/repo.git and file:///tmp/x are accepted; example.com and mailto:me@example.com are rejected with 'VALUE' is not a URL.

The value is returned as given. The help output labels the option [URL]. See "url" in Getopt::Pad.
