Lingua::VIE::Num2Word is module for converting numbers into their written representation in Vietnamese. Converts whole numbers from 0 up to 999 999 999.

Text output is encoded in UTF-8.

SYNOPSIS

use Lingua::VIE::Num2Word;

my $text = Lingua::VIE::Num2Word::num2vie_cardinal( 123 );

print $text || "sorry, can't convert this number into Vietnamese.";

my $ord = Lingua::VIE::Num2Word::num2vie_ordinal( 3 );
print $ord;    # "thứ ba"

Functions Reference

num2vie_cardinal (positional)

1   num    number to convert
=>  str    converted string
    undef  if input number is not known

Convert number to text representation. Only numbers from interval [0, 999_999_999] will be converted.

num2vie_ordinal (positional)

1   num    number to convert
=>  str    converted ordinal string

Convert number to ordinal text by prepending "thứ" to the cardinal form. Special cases: 1st = "thứ nhất", 4th = "thứ tư". Only numbers from interval [1, 999_999_999] will be converted.

capabilities (void)

=>  href   hashref indicating supported conversion types

Returns a hashref of capabilities for this language module.
