Linux::Event::HTTP::Client::Operation - one high-level client action
DESCRIPTION
Client::Operation is the handle returned by Linux::Event::HTTP::Client.
It normally contains one Linux::Event::HTTP::Transaction. Redirects and automatic authentication retries create additional Transactions because each Transaction always represents exactly one Request/Response exchange.
The Operation therefore answers high-level questions such as "what URL am I on now?" and "how many redirects occurred?" while Transaction remains the exact HTTP exchange object.
METHODS
transaction
Returns the current or final Transaction.
transactions
Returns all Transactions in exchange order.
transaction_count
Returns the number of Transactions created by the Operation.
initial_url
Returns the original absolute URL.
url
Returns the current or final absolute URL.
urls
Returns the URL associated with each Transaction. Authentication retries repeat the same URL.
redirect_count
Returns the number of followed redirects.
auth_retry_count
Returns the number of automatic authentication retries.
max_redirects
Returns this Operation's redirect limit.
max_auth_retries
Returns this Operation's authentication retry limit.
request
Returns the Request for the current or final Transaction.
response
Returns its Response, or undef before one exists.
request_body
Returns the current Transaction's streaming Request body producer.
cancel
Cancels the active exchange and the overall Operation.
state
Returns pending, active, complete, cancelled, or error.
is_complete, is_cancelled, is_terminal
Report lifecycle state.
error
Returns the terminal Operation error, if any.
