The path as passed in the fragment request data structure was used verbatim in the dispatcher and other locations. This possibly allowed requests to walk around ACLs by requesting '/some/safe/place/../../../dangerous' as a fragment.

DESCRIPTION

This package is loaded very early in the processof loading Jifty to bring in all of the wonderful goodies that make up Jifty. If you use JIfty:

use Jifty;

you use this package, so you should not need to use it yourself in most circumstances.
