Changes for version 1.00 - 2026-07-23

  • Require Perl 5.26.
  • Require the playback start timestamp when scrobbling.
  • Sign auth.getToken requests as required by Last.fm.
  • Support UTF-8 artist and track names in signatures and form data.
  • Use HTTPS with certificate verification and an identifiable User-Agent.
  • Report validation, transport, HTTP, JSON, and Last.fm API failures as exceptions.
  • Replace WWW::Curl and JSON::XS with HTTP::Tiny and JSON::PP.
  • Add isolated API contract tests and GitHub Actions.
  • Update project ownership and author metadata.
