libpoe-component-irc-perl before v6.32 does not remove carriage returns and line feeds. This can be used to execute arbitrary IRC commands by passing an argument such as \"some text\\rQUIT\" to the 'privmsg' handler, which would cause the client to disconnect from the server.

  • Documentation bugs in the main IRC.pm SYNOPSIS. Bad BinGOs :( Spotted and reported by Mulander via email.
  • Added 'plugin_debug' option to dump after plugin evals if applicable.
  • Spotted a bug with the 'whois' handler. Looks like it has never worked ( properly ). Adjusted 'commasep' for the special case WHOIS <target> mask,mask.
  • Minor fixes to Filter-IRC-Compat for argument handling.
  • Minor fixes to Pipeline and plugin_del().
