Digest::SHA before 5.96 with perls earlier than v5.26 included the current working directory in the module search path, which could lead to the inadvernant loading of unexpected versions of a module. The current directory was removed from the default module search path in perls from v5.26 and later.

Changes for version 5.63 - 2011-11-08

  • added code to allow very large data inputs all at once
    • previously limited to several hundred MB at a time
    • many thanks to Thomas Drugeon for his elegant patch
  • removed outdated reference URLs from several test scripts
    • these URLs aren't essential, and often go stale
    • thanks to Leon Brocard for spotting this
