Perl CodeMap is a separate Perl implementation of the code-mapping concept popularized by peterretief/codemap, originally developed by Peter Retief. The upstream project is MIT licensed (Copyright © 2026 Peter Retief). This implementation is not affiliated with or endorsed by its upstream author.

The source-code viewer embeds a subset of PrismJS (core and Perl grammar), Copyright © 2012 Lea Verou and contributors, distributed under the MIT License. Its full license is included in lib/Perl/CodeMap/assets/PRISM-LICENSE.txt.

The Perl PPI parser is an optional external dependency. It is not bundled in this repository. Its own licensing is governed by its distribution.

Example code and generated demonstration reports are synthetic and provided only to exercise the application; they are not derived from proprietary code.
