NAME

Sah::Schema::share - A float between 0 and 1

VERSION

This document describes version 0.008 of Sah::Schema::share (from Perl distribution Sah-Schemas-Float), released on 2020-03-08.

SYNOPSIS

Using with Data::Sah:

use Data::Sah qw(gen_validator);
my $vdr = gen_validator("share*");
say $vdr->($data) ? "valid" : "INVALID!";

# Data::Sah can also create a validator to return error message, coerced value,
# even validators in other languages like JavaScript, from the same schema.
# See its documentation for more details.

Using in Rinci function metadata (to be used with Perinci::CmdLine, etc):

package MyApp;
our %SPEC;
$SPEC{myfunc} = {
    v => 1.1,
    summary => 'Routine to do blah ...',
    args => {
        arg1 => {
            summary => 'The blah blah argument',
            schema => ['share*'],
        },
        ...
    },
};
sub myfunc {
    my %args = @_;
    ...
}

Sample data:

0  # valid, becomes 0

0.5  # valid, becomes 0.5

1  # valid, becomes 1

1.2  # valid, becomes 0.012

"1.2%"  # valid, becomes 0.012

"102%"  # INVALID

DESCRIPTION

Accepted in one of these forms:

0.5      # a normal float between 0 and 1
10       # a float between 1 (exclusive) and 100, interpreted as percent
10%      # a percentage string, between 0% and 100%

Due to different interpretations, particularly "1" (some people might expect it to mean "0.01" or "1%") use of this type is discouraged. Use Sah::Schema::percent instead.
