Data::Unixish::rtrim - Strip whitespace at the end of each line of text

This document describes version 1.46 of Data::Unixish::rtrim (from Perl distribution Data-Unixish), released on 2014-05-05.

SYNOPSIS

In Perl:

use Data::Unixish qw(lduxl);
my @res = lduxl('rtrim', "x", "a   ", "b \nc  \n", undef, ["d "]);
# => ("x", "a", "b\nc\n", undef, ["d "])

In command line:

% echo -e "x\na  " | dux rtrim
x
a

FUNCTIONS

rtrim(%args) -> [status, msg, result, meta]

Strip whitespace at the end of each line of text.

Arguments ('*' denotes required arguments):

• in => any

  Input stream (e.g. array or filehandle).

• out => any

  Output stream (e.g. array or filehandle).

• strip_newline => bool (default: 0)

  Whether to strip newlines at the end of text.

Return value:

Returns an enveloped result (an array).

First element (status) is an integer containing HTTP status code (200 means OK, 4xx caller error, 5xx function error). Second element (msg) is a string containing error message, or 'OK' if status is 200. Third element (result) is optional, the actual result. Fourth element (meta) is called result metadata and is optional, a hash that contains extra information.
