USE

perl link-checker --base='http://localhost/sites/mysite/'

Traverses the pages and checks for inner broken links.

FLAGS

  • --base '$URL'

    The base URL of the web site (and the start URL for the traversal.

  • --pre-skip '$REGEX'

    A regular expression for matching a URL so it won't be checked for outgoing links (but will be tried to be followed). Can be specified more than once.

  • --before-insert-skip '$REGEX'

    A regular expression for preventing URLs from being retrieved in the first place. Can be specified more than once.

  • --start '$URL'

    An alternative start URL (instead of the base URL) to start the scan from.

  • --state-filename /path/to/filename

    A path to a filename that will be used to read and write the state of the checker, which will sometimes allow it to resume.

LIMITATIONS

  • Uses a regular expression to get rid of the anchor part (#my_id)

  • Does not handle JavaScript-generated HTML properly.
