- clarified POD for lcd_put_char() and lcd_char_def()
- clean up test XS code
- remove all code related to creating threads. That's out of scope for this project (closes #2)
- moved all XS/C declarations into a separate API.h file from API.xs
- changed versioning scheme from 2.36.x to 2.360x
